My daughter has been making these little cookies for the last several years. They are delicious and to festive!
1 cube butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 large egg yolks
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa powder
Beat sugar and butter together. Add egg yolks, vanilla, baking powder, & salt. Beat. Add flour and cocoa powder and mix.
Roll into small balls, about 1 tsp. Place on baking sheet. Take out when the cookies are set, but not brown. You don’t want to overcook. Probably 8-9 minutes. In my convection oven it is only about 6 minutes. Right when you take them out of the oven press a candy corn into the middle. Allow to cool for a few more minutes, then transfer to a rack.
