There is nothing like vine ripened garden tomatoes!!! We planted 21 tomato plants of all varieties and we now have created a tomato forrest in the garden.
Here is a quick way to enjoy garden tomatoes:
Slice what you have: pictured are several different types of heirloom tomatoes, including a “purple” variety and yellow variety.
Arrange on a plate. Sprinkle with sea salt and freshly ground pepper. Drizzle some Extra Virgin Olive Oil over the top. Maybe about 1 Tablespoon. Sprinkle with feta cheese (I used an Italian herb variety) and chopped fresh basil.
Let sit at room temp for a while before serving, especially if the tomatoes have been in the fridge (but really, you should not store tomatoes in the fridge). YUMMMY!
